HILL STAFF VIEWS: Look Who Uses Every Possible Second of PTO

(TWO-MINUTE READ) — Ever wonder who among the 12,000+ congressional aides working on Capitol Hill takes full advantage of Paid Time Off (PTO)? CNCT’s Capitol Pulse did and the results might come as a surprise.

Why? Well, think about it: Younger folks love to hit the beach, party, hike, go places, have fun. So it seems logical to think they would be most likely to make sure they get in all the PTO relaxation they possibly can!

On the other hand, older aides typically have families and love to take vacations to all the great places kids love to go. And if you, like the vast majority of congressional aides, came to Washington, D.C. from somewhere else, then your folks and other relatives are “back home” and you will take PTO to spend time with them.

Well, guess what – according to Capitol Pulse, it’s the older aides who are most likely to make certain they get every possible minute of PTO. Check it out below:
