TESTIMONIES: He Didn’t Expect it, But This Former MIT Professor’s Research Led Him to Christ
(13:52 VIDEO) — Professor Ian Hutchinson spent years at MIT teaching nuclear science and engineering and for most of that period, he appreciated the influence of Christianity as the foundation of Western Civilization but he was not a follower of Jesus Christ.
But certain facts, some of which he discovered through his own research, kept posing questions the answers to which his atheism simply didn’t have. In the following 13:52 video from Aspiring Christian, Hutchinson tells us of two facts that made the ultimate difference for him:

First, “the evidence for the resurrection of Christ is actually quite good. I mean, it’s not a proof, some kind of scientific, mathematical demonstration, but it is quite good. It’s not scientific evidence, by and large, it’s historical.”
Second, “it came to me when I was at Cambridge, it became clear that Christianity ultimately is not some kind of moral theory, or philosophy or something like that. It is, or at least it claims to be, a personal relationship with God, which is made possible by what Jesus did on the cross, and in His life and teaching. It’s a personal call to a relationship with God.”
This is one fascinating discussion, whether you agree with the good professor or not. Do not miss, for example, his discussion of “how influential Christianity has been among scientists” through the centuries.” It begins at the 7:32 point in the video:
