TESTIMONIES: Lizzie Morgan Grew Up in the Church, With the Good and Bad

(12:45 VIEWING) — Being a preacher’s kid is no guarantee of anything except being known for being a preacher’s kid, so nobody should be surprised to encounter stories of both great joy and sadness from them. Lizzie Morgan knows all about the joy and the pain that can come with being a preacher’s kid.

Lizzie Morgan, who sang backup for Lauren Daigle for four years, is known for her soaring worship songs. (Screenshot from YouTube).

Not only was her father a preacher, but so was her grandfather who, with her grandmother, pastored the church in which Lizzie grew up. It was on that church’s stage that Lizzie first realized the power of music to awaken souls to their need of Jesus Christ as their Savior and felt God’s call on her to use the skills He gave her.

But there was the other side, too. Her dad’s addiction and her parents’ divorce created gigantic obstacles of doubt in Lizzie’s faith early in her life. But God brought her through those doubts.

That is why today she knows “worship is such a safe place and such a powerful tool and I wish that people really knew that, like, it works. It might not work the way that you wanted it to, but it does work.”

Lizzie is 28 years old and a rising star in the music industry. Her testimony could profoundly brighten your day:
