Among the saddest and most destructive trends in American society in recent decades has been the increased divorce rate that has resulted in generation after generation of young people coming from broken homes.

Many more, like myself, grew up in homes that they wish they could escape. Without a stable home life anchored by a loving Father and Mother, kids grow up with flawed understandings of how to live a life that produces happiness.

Those words apply to many of the young men and women working on the Hill today. But the pain and damage of a rough childhood doesn’t have to be your permanent station in life. There is hope and it begins and is completed with Jesus Christ and the transformed heart and life that comes with knowing Him as your Lord and Savior.
