TESTIMONIES: Tom Knew All About Jesus But He Didn’t Want to Follow Him
(EIGHT AND A HALF MINUTE WATCH) — Tom grew up in a good home and spent a lot of time in church as a child, so he knew all the “Christian lingo,” he just didn’t want it to apply to him. So as soon as he could get away from home and live his own life, he did.
Tom knew his life was empty.
And it was a disaster. Endless “friends” and “excitement.” Booze to a stupor. Partying to exhaustion. Feeling great for a while, but then plunging into desperate depression because Tom knew something was not right in his life.
There were so many problems in his life. “I knew they were there, but I just couldn’t face them.” Tom was like so many who work on Capitol Hill and elsewhere — Everything appears to be great on the outside, but inside is another story entirely.
