When entrepreneur and freedom of speech champion Elon Musk talks, people listen, so when he declared recently that the time is coming when Artificial Intelligence (AI) would far outpace human intelligence, his claim got noticed.

Musk is far from alone in seeing into a future filled with AI domination of the daily reality that we human beings live every day and take for granted. But are such prophecies actually possible? Well, what if AI is not actually “intelligence,” as we know it?
