WHAT WOULD YOU SAY: Did Jesus Really Exist?

(3:21 VIDEO) — This may come as a shock to some readers but there are actually skeptics out there who claim Jesus never really existed as a living human being. They contend Jesus is a mythical figure, not unlike Zeus or Apollo of the pagan mythologies.

Fact or Fiction? Jesus of Nazareth.

But is that a reasonable conclusion based upon the available secular and theological evidence?

No, it’s not because, as the following latest installment of the Colson Center’s excellent “What Would You Say?” video series, claiming Jesus was not a real person just doesn’t make any sense.

To cite but one example, the Jewish historian Josephus, who was clearly not a follower of Jesus, referred in his “History of the Jews” to Jesus’ crucifixion. He also makes note of James, “the brother of Jesus.” Why would Josephus make up a figure but then mention him only briefly and to no obvious end?
