WHAT WOULD YOU SAY: Is Defending Religious Freedom Really Just Protecting Privilege?

Critical theory advocates take a particular aspect of a society — capital, ethnicity, property, etc. — and absolutize it. That is, they interpret everything about a society through a lens shaped by the particular factor.

The assumption is that the nature of every element found in a society is best understood by its relationship to the absolutized factor. For example, critical race theory interprets everything about the life of non-white individuals through the lens shaped by the privileges and powers of white individuals.

Another form of critical theory holds that Christians who defend religious freedom are in fact protecting their privileged status within society, at the expense of all other faiths. But as the latest “What Would You Say” 5:11 video from the Colson Center makes abundantly clear, the opposite is true:
