WHAT WOULD YOU SAY? Is Pornography Really Just Harmless Fun?

Whether you love it or hate it, you have to admit America is awash in pornography of all kinds, from the so-called “soft” stuff to the rawest, and increasingly more often, violent acts of sexual contact, both hetero and homosexual.

It was the great Russian novelist Fyodor Dostoevsky, whose character Dimitri Karamazov famously said “if there is no God, then everything is permitted.” If the suffocating prevalence of pornography is the measure, then America is demonstrating just how accurate was Dostoevsky.

It is not uncommon to hear defenders of porn describe it as “harmless” or having either no discernible impact on character, but, as the following video from the Colson Center’s “What Would You Say” series explains, quite the opposite is the case. Think loneliness, rewiring of the brain and damaged emotions:
