WHAT WOULD YOU SAY: Should You Trust the Bible as God’s Word?

(5:35 VIEWING) – It is, according to the Guinness World Records folks,  the most-read book ever written, with an estimated 5-7 billion copies having been printed and distributed.

Even more significant is the fact the Bible is not a one-time reader, a work people read through once, maybe twice, then put it on the bookshelf and forget about it. The Bible is the book that men and women reach for more often than any other.

As a result, the Bible is also the most influential book ever written because billions of people around the Earth open its pages every day, read it, think and meditate over its teachings, and then seek to remember and apply those lessons in their daily lives.

No other book ever written approaches the influence of the Bible.

But how do we know that the Bible we read today is actually the Word of God? There have been many critics over the years who claimed some sort of conspiracy to keep some books out that should have been included, and to include others that aren’t really the inspired Word of God.

The truth is, according to the following 5:35 video from the superb “What Would You Say” series from the Colson Center, that there was a consensus among early Christians long before church councils began meeting to consider the issue in the third and fourth centuries A.D.
