EASTER ISSUES 2026: The Monarch Butterfly’s Demonstration of The Resurrection Miracle

(2:18 VIEWING) — Monarch butterflies are beautiful creatures, but you may not know how their resurrection wings point us to the central message of Easter Sunday. Even if you do know about this process, you are in for a treat because the following John 10:10 Project/Illustra Media production is a delight to the eyes and the soul.

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ on the third day after His death by crucifixion is the ultimate proof that He was exactly what He claimed to be at John 14:6 and multiple other verses in the New Testament: “I am the Way, the Truth and the Life. No man comes to the Father but through me.”

He could make that claim because He was fully man and He is fully God, as He said at John 7:58: “Truly, truly I say, before Abraham was, I AM.” That was the definitive expression of Jesus’ claim to deity because He used the same name, “I AM,” that God called Himself in the Old Testament at Exodus 3:14.

In other words, unlike any other founder of any other religion anywhere on Earth or in history, Jesus is alive today and your eternal destiny depends upon whether or not you recognize and accept Him as your Lord and Savior. You can’t work your way to Heaven because of your sin.

But that’s why He died on that cross, to suffer the penalty for your sin, and then rose again on the third day, demonstrating He has conquered death forever. That is also why Paul could say at Romans 10:9 that “if you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved.”

WANT TO TALK MORE ABOUT ALL THIS? GOT QUESTIONS ABOUT IT?

I was 41 years old before I recognized my need to confess my sins to Jesus and ask Him to be my Lord and Savior for eternity. He did and I wouldn’t trade one second of my life since He did for any slice of time beforehand.
