TESTIMONIES: Abused as a Child, He Grew Up Sex and Booze Addicted. And Then Came Jesus

Jon Nicholas is a man with whom I can deeply relate because our stories have a great deal in common despite the fact we grew up in two dramatically different worlds. His was in the ghetto, one of five children being raised by a single mom. He was abused. Mine was in middle America, a two-parent home. An alcoholic father.

Despite our different childhoods, Jon and I grew up with similar addictions. He doesn’t share his age at the time of his conversion, but I am guessing that his came earlier in his life than mine. I was 41 when I hit bottom and cried out to the Lord. He answered Jon and me.

Neither Jon’s testimony nor mine is a fable. We lived the lives of pain that inevitably come with addiction, family alienation and having nothing to do with our creator, Jesus Christ. This is Jon’s story and I pray for the many who watch this 4:21 video from the 700 Club.
