TESTIMONIES: Philosophy Professor, Author Nancy Pearcey Was An Agnostic …

(11:59 VIDEO) — Dr. Nancy Pearcey, is, according to The Economist, “America’s pre-eminent evangelical Protestant female intellectual.” But, as she explains in the following interview with Aspiring Christian host Dr. Jana Harmon, it wasn’t always that way.

In fact, Pearcey grew up as an agnostic who believed whatever makes you feel good is your truth. And everybody’s truth is not the same, it’s whatever makes each individual feel good. You know, whatever floats your boat, that’s truth … for you. But then Pearcey went to visit her parents at a place in Switzerland called L’Abbri.

Dr. Nancy Pearcey.

L’Abbri was home to Dr. Francis Schaefer, one of the 20th centuries pre-imminent philosophers and Christian theologians. Young Christians from America and around the world visited L’Abbri and often stayed for extended periods because Schaefer was such an intellectually and spiritually challenging and stimulating teacher.

Sticking around L’Abbri to talk about faith, philosophy, morality and related topics was certainly not on Pearcey’s agenda when she arrived there to see her family, but, like so many others, she ended staying for a long time.

It was the beginning of her journey to faith and being elevated to her current position of worldwide influence, including being author of such profoundly important books as “Total Truth: “  “Love Thy Body: Answering Hard Questions About Life and Sexuality,” and “The Toxic War on Masculinity: How Christianity Reconciles the Sexes,” among others.

The following video is an excerpt from a much longer one of the entire interview with Harmon. It is more than an hour in length, but if you are stimulated by the excerpt, odds are great you will be further excited by watching the full interview here.
