CONSIDER THIS: Without Information, We Don’t Exist, But Where Does Information Come From?

But they get written but by who? (Screenshot from YouTube).

Did you hear the one about the three monkeys who sat down at Harvard with MacBook Air laptops, began banging away on the keys in no particular sequence, and lo and behold!, the end result after a long time was an updated version of Shakespeare’s “Hamlet”?

No, probably not, since no three monkeys anywhere, any time, sat down with Macs and did anything remotely intelligible with them. But hey, give’em long enough, say, 7 billion years and they just might do it. Hmmm, would they know they did if they did?

You just gotta have faith, right? In science. Or at least scientists.

Actually, as the following Discovery Institute “Long Story Short” video on the “Information Codes Inside Your Body” demonstrates, the reason those monkeys aren’t going to type anything coherent, much less Shakespeare, is because doing so requires information and monkeys don’t have information — they have physical responses and learned behaviors — and they wouldn’t know what to do with it if they did possess information.

So where does information come from? It comes from an information maker. Can you guess what that suggests must exist? And since our bodies require vast quantities of information in order to exist, can you guess where that points?
